Ohr Nashim ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are securely managed through Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including shiurim listened to, favorites saved, playlists created, and listening progress. This data is used to provide features like "Continue Listening."
User-Generated Content: Comments, ratings, and any content you submit through the app are stored in our database.
Profile Photos: If you upload a profile photo, it is stored securely in Firebase Storage.
Creator Information: If you apply to become a teacher, we collect your name, email, phone number, biography, and teaching topics.
We use your information to provide and maintain the app's features, save your favorites and playlists, display your name on comments and ratings, process teacher applications, respond to support requests, moderate content and enforce our Terms of Use, and improve the app experience.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only used within the Ohr Nashim app. We may share information only if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Access: You can view your account information in the Account tab of the app.
Update: You can update your name, password, and profile photo at any time from the Account tab.
Delete: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Account tab. This action is irreversible and removes your profile, favorites, playlists, listening history, and all other data.
Block: You can block other users, which immediately removes their content from your feed.
Ohr Nashim does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Ohr Nashim does not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics. We do not display ads in the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
